"Azeristiliktedjhizat": Azerbaijan has low heating tariffs

Azerbaijan has low heating tariffs.
As reported by BAKU.WS with reference to Report, this was stated by the acting chairman of "Azeristiliktejhizat" OJSC Ilham Mirzaliyev during the discussion of the draft law "On Heat Supply" at today's meeting of the Milli Mejlis committee on natural resources, energy and ecology.
He noted that currently "Azeristiliktejhizat" operates with the support of subsidies: "Therefore, to transfer any heat supply facility to the balance of "Azeristiliktejhizat" requires both additional expenses and payment of additional subsidies. Steps are being taken to gradually reduce subsidies. In 2023, by a decision approved by the Cabinet of Ministers, the living area was replaced by the total area, which allowed to increase revenues by approximately 2 million manats per year. From January 1, 2025, tariffs are set at 30 qapiks per square meter, which means a twofold increase in revenues."
