A warning about the spread of a narcotic substance known as "strawberry quick" among schoolchildren in Sumgayit appeared in one of the parent chat groups in a messenger. The message urged parents to be vigilant.

According to Oxu.az, the warning claims that "strawberry quick" is crystalline methamphetamine in the form of candy with a strawberry scent. Versions with chocolate, peanut butter, cola, cherry, grape, and orange flavors are also mentioned.

In this regard, parents are advised to explain to their children not to accept treats from strangers.

However, as stated by Interior Ministry press service employee Elbrus Ibrahimov in a comment to the editorial office, the circulated information about drug distribution in the country's schools does not correspond to reality.

"The police conducted a comprehensive investigation and found that the publication was distributed through internet resources of one of the foreign countries," E. Ibrahimov emphasized.
