As reported by BAKU.WS, dates contain a large amount of sugar and have a high glycemic index. This leads to sharp spikes in blood glucose levels, increasing the risk of developing type 2 diabetes, obesity, and cardiovascular diseases. According to researchers, regular abuse of this fruit can reduce life by up to 10 years.
Experts advise consuming dates in moderation - no more than 2-3 pieces per day, especially for people who are overweight or have metabolic disorders.
