A festive prayer was performed in Baku

A festive namaz was performed in Baku on the occasion of Ramadan.

As reported by BAKU.WS, prayers began at 08:00 at the Ejderbey mosque.

We remind you that today and tomorrow Azerbaijan celebrates the Ramadan holiday.

The month of Ramadan is a time for reflecting on the spiritual experience accumulated by a person. Believers consider that during these days one should perform as many good deeds as possible: take care of others, provide assistance to those in need, and show compassion.

It was during one of the last ten nights of Ramadan in 610 that the first surah of the Quran was revealed by Almighty Allah to the Prophet Muhammad in the Hira cave of Mount Jabal an-Nur. This happened on the Night of Destiny (Laylat al-Qadr).

Since 1993, Ramadan Bayram has been celebrated in Azerbaijan at the state level.

Note that this year the month of Ramadan in Azerbaijan began on March 1.
