20-year-old grandson of ex-official arrested for attacking a girl in her apartment

On May 2 around 19:30, police received a report that Baku resident Sharafat Babaeva was beaten and stabbed by her acquaintance - 20-year-old Murad Akhmedov.

As reported by BAKU.WS, this was stated by a press service employee of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, police lieutenant Lumu Israfilli.

She noted that the suspect was detained and taken to the police station. An investigation is underway.

Recall that, according to the victim, a few days before the incident, she broke up with M.Akhmedov. On May 2, he entered the girl's sixth-floor apartment through a window in the building's entrance. The young man tried to take her phone and threatened her with a kitchen knife. During the resistance, Sh.Babaeva received a knife wound to her hand.

According to the victim, M.Akhmedov claimed that he was the grandson of former high-ranking employee of the Ministry of Defense Industry Ogtay Atakishiev and therefore would remain unpunished.
