Leonid Agutin commented on artificial intelligence: "You are eating canned food"
Honored Artist of Russia Leonid Agutin spoke about the effect that artificial intelligence (AI) has on art, in his opinion. He is quoted by TASS.
In his opinion, neural networks do not threaten art, but, on the contrary, contribute to its preservation. However, Agutin continued, this is comparable to consuming canned products, which have a long shelf life but are inferior to fresh ones.
"You can preserve them longer, but you are eating canned food. That is, it's both good and bad," he said.
Voice processing tools, Agutin believes, make the task easier not only for artists who don't hit the notes, but also for experienced performers. However, he says, artists will never sound like they did on tape again, no one will record music on analog media anymore, because audiences don't demand it.
"At the same time, if something is impossible to fight against, you need to lead it and do it in the best possible way," he concluded.
