Azerbaijani singer sentenced
A decision has been made in the Binagadi District Court in the case of singer Deniz Asadova, accused of slander.
As APA reports, Judge Samir Nasibov announced the verdict at today's hearing.
The court sentenced D.Asadova to six months of restricted freedom.
The lawsuit against the singer was filed under Article 147.2 of the Criminal Code of Azerbaijan, which provides for liability for slander related to accusations of a grave or especially grave crime.
Earlier, the Binagadi Court declared D.Asadova wanted. Currently, three more complaints have been filed against her under special accusation procedure.
