World War II participants will receive one-time financial assistance

President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev signed an order on providing one-time financial assistance to participants of the Second World War of 1941-1945, widows of soldiers who died or passed away later, persons awarded with orders and medals for selfless work in the rear.

As reported by AZERTAG, the document states:

Guided by paragraph 32 of Article 109 of the Constitution of the Republic of Azerbaijan, in connection with the 80th anniversary of Victory in the Second World War, I decree:

1. to provide one-time financial assistance in the amount of 2,500.0 (two thousand five hundred) manats to participants of the Second World War of 1941-1945, in the amount of 1,250.0 (one thousand two hundred fifty) manats - to widows of soldiers who died in the Second World War or passed away later, persons awarded with orders and medals for selfless work in the rear during that period, employees of special formations who carried out assignments in the interests of the army and navy in the rear of the fighting fronts or in the operational zones of the fighting fleets during the Second World War, persons awarded with the corresponding medal and badge for the defense of the city of Leningrad during the Second World War, as well as participants of the blockade of the city of Leningrad.

2. in order to implement part 1 of this order:

2.1. to allocate 3.2 million (three million two hundred thousand) manats from the reserve fund of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan provided in the state budget of the Republic of Azerbaijan for 2025;

2.2. The Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Azerbaijan shall ensure the transfer of funds provided for in paragraph 2.1 of this order to the special account of the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Population of the Republic of Azerbaijan;

2.3. The Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Population of the Republic of Azerbaijan shall ensure the payment of one-time financial assistance to the persons provided for in part 1 of this order.

3. The Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Azerbaijan shall resolve issues arising from this order".
