Sahiba Gafarova called on TurkPA to strengthen cooperation in the field of youth policy

Chairwoman of the Milli Majlis Sahiba Gafarova called on young parliamentarians of TurkPA to strengthen youth policy taking into account the challenges facing the countries.

As reported by BAKU.WS, the speaker made this statement at the 15th session of TurkPA in Bishkek.

She emphasized that the organization opens new opportunities for expanding inter-parliamentary cooperation in various areas.

Gafarova stressed that the main feature of TurkPA is that the organization unites representatives of peoples connected by common culture, history, language, and national-spiritual values.

She stated that currently artificial intelligence and technological progress have become a fundamental element of modern governance and sustainable development of countries. According to her, this direction has been identified as a priority in Azerbaijan.

The speaker added that new legislative acts are being adopted to support Azerbaijan's digital transformation. Concepts such as digital technologies, innovative products, and technology transfer are being incorporated into national legislation, and the legal status of artificial intelligence is being defined.

Gafarova emphasized that artificial intelligence and technological progress, while creating new opportunities, simultaneously generate new challenges and new risks in the field of cybersecurity and information security, making mutual cooperation in this area even more essential.
