It was emphasized that the museum holds the world's largest carpet, woven between 2001 and 2003 and included in the Guinness Book of Records, the first giant carpet that women completed despite the hardships of wartime during the Second World War, as well as carpets made in 2009 specifically for the new museum building. The museum's collections contain approximately 2,000 rare and antique handmade carpet items, including unique specimens dating back to the 17th-19th centuries.
A presentation of a collection of Turkmen national clothing was then held. During the show, silk Turkmen dresses with hand embroidery, traditional national outfits, as well as costumes combining national motifs with modern elements were presented.
