Sarybay: Azerbaijan's Chairmanship Will Allow CICA to Strengthen Security in Asia

Azerbaijan's chairmanship of the Conference on Interaction and Confidence-Building Measures in Asia (CICA) will enable the organization to achieve more significant results in strengthening security in the region and beyond.

As reported by BAKU.WS with reference to Report, this was stated by CICA Secretary General Kairat Sarybay on social media platform X following a meeting with Azerbaijan's Minister of Foreign Affairs Jeyhun Bayramov in Baku.

"We exchanged views on how to translate the new initiatives of leaders into concrete cooperation projects.

I am confident that under Azerbaijan's chairmanship, CICA will be able to achieve more significant results in strengthening security in Asia and beyond," he wrote.

As a reminder, the 7th CICA summit was held in Baku on October 15 with the participation of more than 50 delegations. Following the summit, Azerbaijan's chairmanship of the organization was extended for another two years.
