President of Azerbaijan: We are working on the creation of joint ventures with China, and work in this area has already begun

The signing of two documents between Azerbaijan and China within a year - on strategic, and then comprehensive strategic partnership, gave a great impulse to the development of bilateral economic ties.

As reported by AZERTAG, President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev said this on January 5 in an interview with local TV channels.

Emphasizing that the growth in trade turnover between our countries has exceeded $4 billion, the head of state noted that Chinese companies have begun to actively invest in Azerbaijan in renewable energy, transport, and other sectors.

Stating that Azerbaijan is China's priority partner in this region, President Ilham Aliyev emphasized that military-technical cooperation has begun within the framework of the political agreements reached. "This cooperation was partially demonstrated at the military parade, but this is just the beginning. We see great mutual interest. In addition, not limiting ourselves to the acquisition of military equipment, we are working on the creation of joint ventures, and work in this direction has already begun," said the head of state.
