Three Azerbaijani boxers have reached the final of the European Championship

At the U-15 European Championship in Trabzon (Turkey), three Azerbaijani boxers advanced to the final, while two won bronze medals.

This was reported by the Boxing Federation of Azerbaijan.

It was noted that in the semifinal round of the tournament, three members of the national team secured victories and earned spots in the final.

Sanan Nasibli (52 kg) faced Serbian Lazar Jovanović in the semifinal. The representative of the Kazakh boxing school, who dominated in all three rounds, defeated his opponent with a score of 5:0. All judges gave the same score - 30:27. In the final, Nasibli will face Scottish boxer Brodie Dow.

Yusif Ali (57 kg) overcame Ukrainian Kyrylo Chumakov with a score of 4:1 and also advanced to the final. His opponent in the decisive bout will be Russian Yegor Zhirukhin.

Sarkhan Hagverdiyev (70 kg) also wrote his name on the finals list. The national team member this time demonstrated his strength against Diego Mastrorillo (Italy) - 5:0. The product of the Ganja boxing school will face Shane Fury (England) in the championship bout.

Two other leather glove masters of ours, Alakbar Mamadli (44 kg) and Gulay Ojagova (57 kg), finished the U-15 European Championship with bronze medals.

On the second day of the semifinal round, five more of our representatives will step into the ring. The winners of the competition will be announced on October 25.
