President of Azerbaijan approved amendments banning electronic cigarettes

President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev signed a law on amendments to the Tax Code, as well as the laws "On the list of items whose presence in civil circulation is not permitted (withdrawn from civil circulation)" and "On food security."

According to the amendments, electronic cigarettes and their components have been included in the list of items whose presence in civil circulation is not permitted.

In connection with the complete ban on the circulation of electronic cigarettes, provisions related to their classification as excisable goods and the application of excise rates are being removed from the Tax Code. At the same time, corresponding amendments are being introduced to the laws "On the list of items whose inclusion in civil circulation is not permitted (excluded from civil circulation)" and "On food security."
