National Assembly: A massive information campaign against Azerbaijan has been launched in Russia

A massive information campaign against Azerbaijan has been launched from the territory of the Russian Federation.
BAKU.WS reports that this was noted in a statement by the National Assembly's Commission against Foreign Interference and Hybrid Threats.
It was stated that the campaign began immediately after the broadcast of Azerbaijan President Ilham Aliyev's interview with Saudi Arabia's "Al Arabiya" television channel on August 27:
"During monitoring, it was determined that the President of Azerbaijan's historically factual response to the presenter's question about the Zangezur corridor has been taken out of context, falsified, or presented in a distorted form to Russian readers. The campaign, organized to inflame anti-Azerbaijani propaganda in Russian society, is being conducted through television channels and news sites, social media platforms, and individuals with radical positions who have certain influence. It has been observed that the campaign also makes extensive use of platforms like 'Facebook', 'Instagram', and 'X', which are banned or restricted in Russia, as well as social media profiles and bots created under the names of citizens of other countries."
It was noted that another notable element of the campaign is the targeting of Azerbaijan's social media segment through targeted advertisements, which contain threatening ideas against our country's sovereignty and territorial integrity:
"We should also note that such disgusting campaigns have no impact on public opinion in Azerbaijan. Such activities only serve to incite Russian society based on false facts and drag them into unfounded hostility with neighboring states. The roots of the 'Russophobia' syndrome that concerns Russia should be sought in the activities of 'Z' bloggers. The Commission against Foreign Interference and Hybrid Threats, together with relevant state bodies, is closely monitoring these unfriendly actions against our state and continues to take appropriate preventive measures."
