Leyla Aliyeva met with the husband of the President of Slovenia Aleš Musar in New York

On September 25, Vice President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation Leyla Aliyeva met with Aleš Musar, the husband of the President of Slovenia, in New York upon the request of the other side.
As reported by AZERTAG, during the meeting, Aleš Musar provided information about the activities of "Enhancing Human Security" (ITF), a humanitarian non-profit organization established by the government of the Republic of Slovenia in 1998 to support mine victims.
Vice President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation Leyla Aliyeva drew attention to the mine problem that our country is facing. She noted that mines create serious obstacles to the large-scale construction and restoration work being carried out in the territories of Azerbaijan liberated from occupation, and to the process of former internally displaced persons returning to their native lands under the "Great Return" Program. It was reported that despite this, Azerbaijan is carrying out large-scale humanitarian demining activities and providing support to mine victims, as well as conducting educational work related to the dangers posed by unexploded ordnance.
During the conversation, there was an exchange of views on the problem of water scarcity in the world, the declining water level in the Caspian Sea, and the importance of the Bled Water Forum held in Slovenia was highlighted.
Possibilities for cooperation between Azerbaijan and Slovenia in these areas were discussed at the meeting.
