Latifa Akharbach: Media Must Restore Public Trust
Today, the media face the task of not only countering disinformation but also restoring public trust.
As Report informs, this was stated by the President of the High Authority for Audiovisual Communication of Morocco, Latifa Akharbach, at the Shusha Global Media Forum.
According to her, the media and government structures share a common responsibility for the development of the media sphere.
"According to research, 56% of people receive news predominantly from social networks. However, this calls into question the reliability of the information being disseminated," Akharbach said.
She emphasized that in today's conditions, it is not enough to merely fight disinformation - it is also necessary to restore public trust in the media.
"Every country has its own approach and development model in the field of media and communications. This platform creates favorable opportunities for the exchange of experience and expert knowledge," she noted.
