In Azerbaijan, the rules for accreditation of educational institutions have been changed
Amendments made to the "Rules for Accreditation of Educational Institutions", approved by the decree of the Cabinet of Ministers of Azerbaijan No. 167 dated September 28, 2010.
As reported by BAKU.WS, the corresponding decision was signed by Prime Minister Ali Asadov.
According to the updated rules, the maximum score for each accreditation criterion will be calculated based on the number of indicators and their maximum scores. The final maximum score of an educational institution or program will be the sum of scores across all criteria.
The evaluation of the maximum score established for an educational institution or educational program based on the points earned during accreditation is determined as follows:
85-100% of the maximum score - "compliant";
70-84% - "mostly compliant";
55-69% - "partially compliant";
54% and below - "non-compliant".
If an institution or program fails accreditation, the Ministry of Science and Education must suspend their activities, consider reorganization or closure, and transfer students to other institutions. Additionally, the agency will apply to the court demanding compensation for damages from the institution that ceased operations.
