France's Foreign Minister Expressed Gratitude to Azerbaijan
The Foreign Ministers of Azerbaijan and France - Jeyhun Bayramov and Jean-Noël Barrot - held a telephone conversation.
As reported by BAKU.WS with reference to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan, the parties discussed the tense security situation in the Middle East and the growing military escalation.
The heads of the ministries noted that the further deterioration of the situation in the region poses serious risks to regional and international security, and emphasized the importance of resuming diplomatic efforts and dialogue.
Barrot expressed gratitude for the support provided by the Azerbaijani side in the process of evacuating French citizens from Iran amid the difficult circumstances, and pointed to the importance of cooperation in this area.
The parties exchanged views on the current state of bilateral relations between Azerbaijan and France and the prospects for further cooperation. The importance of continuing dialogue in areas of mutual interest following the meeting of the presidents of the two countries in Copenhagen was emphasized.
The ministers also exchanged views on other issues of regional security of mutual interest.
