Footage of archival documents about the deportation of Azerbaijanis from Armenia has spread

Russian archives contain key documents confirming the fact of forced eviction of Azerbaijanis from the territory of present-day Armenia.

As reported by BAKU.WS with reference to İTV channel, according to these archival materials, Azerbaijanis were expelled from their ancestral lands in order to resettle Armenians from abroad in their place.

The documents also indicate that the Azerbaijani population resisted forced deportation.

At the same time, access to a number of documents in Russian archives is restricted under various pretexts.
