Bayramov: Azerbaijan promotes a multimodal agenda within the framework of its post-conflict strategy
The restoration and reintegration of Azerbaijan's industrial zones create conditions for economic revival, expansion of regional cooperation, and strengthening of long-term peace.
As reported by BAKU.WS with reference to Report, this was stated by Azerbaijan's Minister of Foreign Affairs Jeyhun Bayramov at an event within the framework of the 13th session of the World Urban Forum (WUF13) in Baku.
According to him, new transport corridors, railways, highways, energy infrastructure, and digital networks are integrating the restored territories into broader regional and international economic systems.
"These investments stimulate mobility, trade, investment, tourism, and employment, while simultaneously strengthening regional interdependence and long-term stability," the Foreign Minister noted.
Bayramov emphasized that the significance of these projects extends far beyond Azerbaijan.
"Their impact extends significantly beyond Azerbaijan's borders, strengthening connectivity between Asia and Europe and contributing to broader regional economic growth and cooperation," the minister stated.
He recalled that Azerbaijan plays an internationally recognized role as one of the key drivers of the Middle Corridor and the North–South transport route.
"As part of its post-conflict strategy, Azerbaijan consistently promotes a multimodal connectivity agenda," Bayramov emphasized.
According to him, the Washington Declaration signed in August 2025 laid the foundation for the "Trump Route" initiative (TRiPP), which will ensure not only seamless multimodal communication between the main part of Azerbaijan and its Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic, but will also create a new strategic connectivity line between Asia and Europe through railways, highways, energy pipelines, power transmission lines, and fiber-optic cables.
He also noted that the Horadiz–Aghband railway and the new Kars–Igdir–Dilucu line will complement the Zangezur corridor and strengthen transport links between Asia and Europe.
