Azerbaijan and UAE discussed various areas of cooperation

Head of the Administration of the President of Azerbaijan Samir Nuriyev held a meeting with the Chairman of the Accounts Chamber of the United Arab Emirates Humaid Obaid Abushibs and the delegation headed by him.

As reported by BAKU.WS, satisfaction was expressed at the meeting regarding the current level of strategic partnership between Azerbaijan and the UAE.

It was emphasized that the recent visit of President Ilham Aliyev to the UAE and the signing of a comprehensive economic partnership agreement between the two countries created a solid foundation for further deepening of ties.

The parties noted the dynamic development of cooperation in the fields of economy, transport, energy and culture, as well as successful UAE projects in Azerbaijan in the field of renewable energy.

It was also emphasized that restoration work in the liberated territories under the leadership of President Ilham Aliyev continues at an active pace, and the return of former internally displaced persons has already begun. Azerbaijan expressed gratitude to the UAE for financial support for humanitarian demining.

The parties also discussed efforts in fighting corruption, institutional reforms and the expansion of bilateral and international cooperation in these areas.
