Leila Aliyeva and Arzu Aliyeva visited the fair of the beekeeping products exhibition-sale

On November 5, the Vice President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, founder and head of the IDEA Public Association Leyla Aliyeva and head of Baku Media Center Arzu Aliyeva visited the 25th Jubilee Traditional Republican Fair of beekeeping products exhibition-sale.

As reported by BAKU.WS with reference to AZERTAG, during their visit, Leyla Aliyeva and Arzu Aliyeva examined the stands, took interest in various types of honey and beekeeping products presented by beekeepers, and were informed about the production process and quality indicators. They had sincere conversations with beekeepers about seasonal productivity and product sales opportunities, and took commemorative photos.

It should be noted that this year more than 280 farmers from 43 regions are participating in the fair. Active participation in the fair was taken by participants of the "Young Beekeeper" project, implemented on the initiative of the IDEA Public Association to stimulate ecological entrepreneurship among youth. Four families of "Young Beekeepers" presented a total of 1,128 kg of honey at the fair.

The Güllü Yaylaq beekeeping cooperative, operating in the Khojaly region, was presented at the fair for the first time. The founder of the cooperative, Ganira Asadova from the village of Ballydja in the Khojaly region, has been engaged in beekeeping for many years. The goal of the cooperative is to increase women's employment in agriculture, preserve local beekeeping traditions, and promote the production of environmentally friendly products. Currently, the Güllü Yaylaq cooperative, which consists of 5 members, presented 400 kilograms of products at the fair, including 6 types of beekeeping products.

In addition, products at the fair were presented by participants of the "Kalbajar Honey Festival 2025," held on the initiative of Leyla Aliyeva in the Kalbajar region in September of this year.

It should be especially emphasized that the attention and support shown by President Ilham Aliyev in his speeches to Kalbajar honey is an indicator of the highest importance of quality and recognition of honey from this region. Today, Kalbajar honey stands out for its natural properties and quality, becoming one of Azerbaijan's national brands.

It should be noted that over 100 tons of honey and more than 15 types of various beekeeping products are presented at the fair.
