President of SOCAR met with US officials
President of the State Oil Company of the Azerbaijan Republic (SOCAR) Rovshan Najaf met with Senior Advisor of the U.S. Department of State Rebecca Neff and U.S. Trade and Development Agency Manager Sarah Leming.
As reported by BAKU.WS, this was announced by SOCAR.
At the meeting, the successful long-standing cooperation between Azerbaijan and the United States in the field of energy was noted with satisfaction. It was emphasized that the signing in February of this year of the "Charter of Strategic Partnership between the Governments of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the United States of America" holds historic significance in terms of the development of bilateral relations. In particular, it was noted that there are broad prospects for cooperation between our countries in the energy sector.
During the conversation, it was emphasized that successful ties exist between SOCAR and American companies across various areas of the energy sector.
At the meeting, the importance of the TRIPP project and existing energy routes along the middle corridor in terms of regional cooperation was highlighted. In addition, an exchange of views took place on other issues of mutual interest.
