Famous Writer Found Dead in Baku

Writer and journalist Bahram Chelebi (Mustafabeyli) has passed away.

According to Qafqazinfo, his body was found yesterday around 22:00 in a house on Shamil Azizbekov Street in the Nasimi district of Baku.

According to preliminary data, the cause of death was illness.

79-year-old Bahram Chelebi is known for his crime-themed books, which have gained popularity in Azerbaijan in recent years.

The writer was born in Sheki, where he worked in various positions for a long time. From 1980 to 1996, he headed the Sheki Chess School, and in the late 1990s, he moved to Baku.
