The Ukrainian president told his American counterpart that the high-tech weapons would help bring Vladimir Putin to the negotiating table to discuss a peace agreement.

Several sources told the publication that the request was made during a meeting between the two leaders, which took place on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly and was assessed as extremely positive.
