Yemen has taken control of the southern and eastern provinces of the country
Yemeni government forces successfully took control of military camps in the southern and eastern provinces of the country, including the temporary capital Aden.
As reported by BAKU.WS with reference to SABA news agency, this was announced by the Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council of Yemen, Rashad Mohammed al-Alimi.
"As the head of state and commander-in-chief of the armed forces, I would like to assure you that the operation to transfer military camps in the provinces of Hadhramaut and Al-Mahra, the temporary capital of Aden and other liberated regions has been successfully completed," he said in an address to the nation.
Al-Alimi emphasized that these "difficult decisions" were made not to demonstrate power, but to protect citizens, the legal status of the state, and to preserve constitutional foundations.
The head of the Presidential Leadership Council of Yemen also announced the creation of a Supreme Military Committee in the country under the command of the coalition led by Saudi Arabia, "which will be responsible for the preparation, equipment, and leadership of all military forces and formations." According to him, this is necessary if the Houthis from the rebel movement "Ansar Allah" continue to reject peace initiatives.
