A London resident who survived a four-minute cardiac arrest after a car accident revealed shocking details of her near-death experience. Relatives had already lost hope for Stella's survival.

In an interview with Metro, the British woman described how she was returning home with her boyfriend after a party. The car, moving at high speed at night, lost control and crashed into a pole. The impact was so powerful that Stella was thrown directly onto the highway.

"I didn't go down any tunnel. But for several minutes, my entire life flashed before my eyes like a whirlwind - one image quickly replaced another. These were beautiful memories of myself at different ages," Stella shared.

According to the woman, then something incredible happened - she felt as if she had left her body and was observing everything from above.

"I saw myself and my leg at a horrible angle, blood, doctors pressing on my chest. Someone was crying - I observed all this from above. I had the thought that I was too young to die, and I returned to my body," the British woman recounted.

After fully recovering, Stella decided to dedicate part of her life to volunteering in hospitals.

Scientists note that this phenomenon, described by people who have experienced clinical death, might be explained by a sudden increase in brain activity during the critical moment.
