U.S. national debt has reached a record level

US national debt exceeds 39 trillion dollars for the first time.

As reported by Interfax, this follows from unofficial calculation data.

According to data presented by the Department of the Treasury, the sovereign debt of the United States exceeded 38 trillion dollars for the first time on October 21 of last year, or 4 months and 25 days ago. Meanwhile, as of March 16, the figure reached 38.992 trillion dollars.

At the same time, according to the well-known online dashboard for tracking the size of US debt (usdebtclock.org), the figure has surpassed the new milestone and continues to grow, already amounting to 39.003 trillion dollars.
