US-Iran Negotiations: Some Details Have Emerged
Iran has decided to begin negotiations with the USA on the issues of releasing Iranian assets and a ceasefire in Lebanon.
This is reported by the Iranian agency Tasnim.
According to its information, the negotiations between Lebanon and Israel in Washington will concern the issue of disarming the Hezbollah movement and the withdrawal of Israeli troops.
According to the Al Hadath TV channel, the USA has given guarantees to Lebanon that Israel will not bomb Beirut before the start of negotiations on April 14 in Washington.
The first round of negotiations between the USA and Iran has concluded in Pakistan.
As reported by the Associated Press, during the discussions, the Iranian side presented its conditions.
According to the source, the Islamic Republic demanded maintaining control over the Strait of Hormuz, payment of compensation for damage caused to the country during the conflict, unfreezing of Iranian assets, as well as the conclusion of a long-term ceasefire agreement.
Important negotiations between delegations of the United States of America and Iran have begun in Pakistan's capital, Islamabad.
This is reported by Turkish media.
US President Donald Trump also confirmed this. He also noted that it will soon become clear whether Iran is being sincere in the negotiations.
"I'll let you know very soon. It won't take long," a journalist quoted Trump's response to the corresponding question.
The Iranian delegation is in contact with Hezbollah to make the necessary decisions in the negotiations with the USA, Iranian media report.
