Trump commented on the meeting between Putin and Whitcoff

US President Donald Trump stated that his special envoy Stephen Witkoff held a "very productive" meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin in Moscow today. Great progress was made, Trump added.

The American leader wrote about this on his Truth Social network

"After this, I briefed some of our European allies. Everyone agrees that this war must end, and we will work on this in the coming days and weeks," Donald Trump emphasized.

The meeting between Vladimir Putin and Stephen Witkoff lasted approximately three hours. This was Witkoff's fifth visit to Russia. Russian Presidential Aide Yuri Ushakov said that during the meeting, "certain signals" regarding the settlement of the conflict in Ukraine were conveyed by the Russian leader.
