Tourists swimming in a pool during an earthquake in Bangkok caught on video

In Bangkok, tourists continued to enjoy swimming in the pool despite noticeable underground tremors caused by an earthquake. The video of this amazing moment was published by the Shot Telegram channel.

Today, Myanmar's territory was hit by a powerful earthquake with a magnitude of 7.7. The seismic activity spread to neighboring countries, including Thailand. Bangkok residents felt ground vibrations at approximately 13:20 local time (9:20 Moscow time). According to Thai media, in the northern part of the kingdom, the tremors reached 4.2 on the scale, while the epicenter of the disaster was located in Myanmar.

The administration of multi-story residential complexes in Bangkok organized an urgent evacuation of residents. Simultaneously, tourists began to be moved from hotels to safe zones. Social media spread video materials showing water splashing out of pools located on the roofs of high-rise buildings. Footage of damage to one of the skyscrapers also appeared.

As Shot emphasizes, "tourists continued to swim in the pool on the roof of a high-rise in Bangkok during the earthquake and admire the view from the 50th floor." The Telegram channel Mash had also previously reported on the calm situation at popular Thai resorts.
