TikTok changes owner: who will take control of the popular app?

The buyer of TikTok will be a consortium that includes Oracle Corp., venture company Andreessen Horowitz, and investment fund Silver Lake Management LLC.
The deal is planned to be discussed this week during a meeting between US President Donald Trump and Chinese President Xi Jinping, Bloomberg reports.
According to the framework agreement presented on September 15 after two days of negotiations in Madrid by high-ranking representatives of the US and China, an American version of the popular application will be created. According to sources close to the negotiations, Oracle, Andreessen Horowitz, and Silver Lake will receive stakes in the new enterprise.
