The US President stated that a regime change has occurred in Iran

The USA proceeds from the assumption that a change of power has already occurred in Iran.

As reported by BAKU.WS with reference to TASS, this position was outlined by American President Donald Trump while answering journalists' questions at the White House.

"In essence, there has been a regime change. The regime has changed, because the leaders now are not at all the same ones who were there at the beginning and created all these problems," he stated.

According to the US president, Washington expects "to assess how" the new leadership "will conduct itself."

When asked whether he trusts the Iranian authorities, Trump stated that he does not trust anyone.
