The US and Israel planned to attack Iran earlier
The United States and Israel began a military operation against Iran a week later than planned. This is reported by the Axios portal, citing high-ranking officials from both countries.
It is noted that the countries were preparing to strike on February 21 - after the second round of U.S.-Iranian negotiations on February 17 ended without significant progress.
One of Axios's sources said the operation was delayed due to unfavorable weather conditions in the region, while another cited the need to improve coordination between the U.S. and Israeli militaries.
Earlier, U.S. President Donald Trump stated that the operation against Iran could take about four weeks. According to him, "it was always a four-week process."
