Tesla's Optimus robot has become smarter and significantly improved its fine motor skills.

As BAKU.WS reports, this was announced by the company's chairperson Robin Denholm in an interview with CNBC.

Responding to a question about when Optimus would be able to act as dexterously as a human, Denholm noted that the humanoid is already demonstrating impressive progress - it has learned to fold clothes.

"I've interacted with Optimus in the laboratory. He knows how to fold laundry, wipes tables perfectly, can pass objects and even shake hands," Denholm shared. She also added that the sensitivity of the robot's manipulators - its mechanical arms - has reached an impressive level.

According to Denholm, the robots are already being used in Tesla offices in Palo Alto, California. "We're changing not only transportation concepts but also robotics," she emphasized, adding that in the future, such machines will become truly useful and versatile assistants.
