Syrian army took control of two oil fields in the north of the country
The Syrian government army has established control over two oil fields in the Raqqa province in the north of the country, which were previously under the control of the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF).
As reported by BAKU.WS with reference to the "Al-Ikhbariya" TV channel citing the operational command of the armed forces of the transitional government of Syria, these are the strategically important oil fields of Safyan and Es-Sawra, located near the city of Tabqa.
According to available information, Syrian government troops entered the Raqqa province this morning after establishing control over the city of Deir Hafer east of Aleppo, from which SDF formations had previously withdrawn.
Government forces, having taken control of the settlement of Debsi-Afnan on the western bank of the Euphrates River, continue their advance toward the city of Tabqa.
