Verkh-Isetsky District Court extended the detention of the chairman of the "Azerbaijan-Ural" organization Shahin Shykhlinsky until December 30, 2025.

As reported by BAKU.WS with reference to RBC, he is accused of attempted murder of entrepreneur Fekhruz Shirinov in 2010. The latter had previously publicly stated about Shykhlinsky's criminal activities.

According to the investigation, Shykhlinsky's associate Elman Suleymanov tried to shoot Shirinov, but the gun misfired. As a result, Shirinov and his son were able to detain the attacker. Later, Suleymanov recanted his testimony both during the investigation and in court.

At the end of July, Shykhlinsky was put on the wanted list, and at the beginning of August he was arrested. He was detained in Moscow and taken to Yekaterinburg for questioning by the Investigative Committee.
