Ruben Rubinyan has been elected Speaker of the National Assembly of Armenia of the ninth convocation, receiving 63 votes "in favor."

This is reported by BAKU.WS with reference to Armenian media.

Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan signed a decision appointing Melania Harutyunyan to the position of press secretary of the head of the republic's government.

Nazeli Baghdasaryan, who previously held the position of press secretary of the prime minister, will continue working in the National Assembly of Armenia as a deputy.

It should be recalled that Melania Harutyunyan was the secretary of the Youth Council of the "Civil Contract" party.

On Monday, Nikol Pashinyan made another appointment - former Armenian Ambassador to the United States Lilit Makunts was appointed head of the staff of the Prime Minister of Armenia.

In this position, Makunts replaced Araik Harutyunyan.

By another decision, Lilit Makunts was relieved of the position of acting chief advisor to the head of government.
