"Our territories remain ours". Zelensky on recognition of occupation by other countries
Recognition of Ukrainian territories as Russian by other countries will not change the actual state of affairs, since decisions concerning Ukraine are made exclusively by its president.
As reported by BAKU.WS citing Interfax Ukraine, this was stated by President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky at a joint press conference with Prime Minister of Poland Donald Tusk, held in Kyiv.
According to Zelensky, even if individual states recognize Ukrainian territories as part of Russia, this will not have practical consequences. He emphasized that not all countries are ready for such a step, and Ukraine has a president who signs all decisions. The Ukrainian leader also noted that the country's territories remain Ukrainian, despite their temporary occupation.
