Media: Iran's air defense systems shot down an American F-35

Iran's air defense systems shot down a U.S. Air Force F-35, the fighter jet sustained serious damage.

As reported by BAKU.WS with reference to IRIB, this was announced by the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC, elite military units).

"The strategic F-35 fighter jet of the hostile U.S. military was struck by the advanced air defense systems of the IRGC Aerospace Force in the skies over Central Iran today at 02:50 a.m. (03:20 Baku time - ed.) and sustained serious damage. The fate of this fighter jet is unknown and is being investigated, there is a high probability of its crash," the statement cited by the Iranian state broadcasting company reads.
