Mayors of three cities detained in Turkey

Turkish law enforcement agencies conducted an operation resulting in the detention of the heads of three municipalities: Mayor of Adana Zeydan Karalar, Mayor of Antalya Muhittin Böcek, and Mayor of Adıyaman Abdurrahman Tutdere.
As reported by BAKU.WS with reference to Turkish media, all three detainees are members of the Republican People's Party (CHP).
Along with the mayors, 12 more municipal employees were detained.
According to an official statement from the Istanbul prosecutor's office, the officials are accused of abuse of power and participation in illegal financial schemes.
