Israel's authorities have authorized the IDF to call up to 400 thousand reservists

The Israeli government has authorized the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) to call up to 400,000 reservists amid military operations against Iran and Hezbollah.

As reported by BAKU.WS, this was announced by The Times of Israel.

The military states that this is not the actual number of reservists the IDF will be calling up, but rather a "ceiling that provides flexibility in accordance with operational needs."

The previous limit was 280,000 reservists and was approved in December 2025.
