Is a new front being opened against Iran?
In accordance with the UN Charter, the Armed Forces of Iran are utilizing all necessary defensive capabilities and means to counter aggression and prevent hostile actions. Accordingly, all bases, facilities, and assets of hostile forces in the region will be considered legitimate military targets as part of Tehran's exercise of its right to self-defense. Iran will resolutely and without hesitation exercise its right to self-defense until the complete and unconditional cessation of aggression.
As reported by BAKU.WS with reference to Baku TV, this was stated by Iran's Permanent Representative to the UN, Amir Saeid Iravani.
At the same time, the Persian Gulf countries, including Bahrain, Qatar, Kuwait, the United Arab Emirates, Oman, and Saudi Arabia, have declared their readiness to respond to potential attacks from Iran. This was stated in an official statement issued following a joint meeting of the foreign ministers of the member states of the Gulf Cooperation Council.
The document also notes that the member states of the Arab League condemned Iran's actions, characterizing them as a gross violation of international laws and conventions, as well as the principles of international law. This means that Arab countries or Persian Gulf states are also joining the conflict against Iran.
