Iran's Supreme Leader urged neighbors to close American bases
Iran believes in friendship with neighboring states and strikes only at American military bases in those countries.
This is stated in the first official statement of the new Supreme Leader of the Islamic Republic, Mojtaba Khamenei.
"Recently, we struck [US] military bases, and, as we had warned, without attacking neighboring countries, we only targeted those bases. Going forward, we will be compelled to continue these actions, although we still believe in friendship with our neighbors," the text broadcast on Iranian state television and radio stated.
Iran also calls on its neighbors to determine their position toward the West and to close American bases.
