Iran is ready to deploy more than one million fighters in the event of a U.S. ground invasion of the Islamic Republic.

It is noted that in the event of a U.S. invasion, not only trained Iranian military personnel but also young people are ready to fight against the American army. The Islamic Republic is seeing a massive influx of applications to the army and the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), the agency emphasizes.

"The U.S. wants to open the Strait of Hormuz by resorting to suicidal and self-destructive methods; that is fine. We are ready both for the implementation of their suicidal strategy and for the strait to remain closed," the agency's source said.
