Iran denied Trump's words
The statements by US President Donald Trump about negotiations between Tehran and Washington are false; Iran is only conducting negotiations with Oman on the issue of ensuring safe navigation in the Strait of Hormuz.
This was reported by the spokesman of the Islamic Republic's Foreign Ministry, Esmail Baghaei.
"At the present moment, we have no negotiations with the United States. Currently, negotiations are being conducted with Oman, aimed at reaching an agreement regarding a route that will ensure safe navigation through the Strait of Hormuz," he noted during a press conference.
Earlier, US President Donald Trump stated that the United States and Iran would proceed to negotiations on a peace deal on August 3. In addition, Trump wrote on the social network Truth Social that he agreed to cancel a planned powerful strike on the republic in order to reach a deal with Tehran.
