In Sergiev Posad, an unknown person stabbed a 9-year-old child in the neck

In the Russian city of Sergiev Posad, an unknown person attacked a 9-year-old boy and stabbed him in the neck.

As reported by BAKU.WS with reference to TASS, this was announced by the press service of the Main Investigative Department of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation for the Moscow region.

"On July 4, law enforcement agencies received information that in the courtyard of an apartment building in Sergiev Posad, a man stabbed a 9-year-old boy in the neck. The child was hospitalized," the message says.

As clarified by the press service of the Moscow region prosecutor's office, the incident occurred in the courtyard of a house on Novouglichskoye Highway. At the time of the attack, the boy was sitting on a swing, and the attacker approached him from behind.

In turn, the Moscow Region Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs added that law enforcement officers are carrying out measures to identify and detain the man who fled from the scene of the crime, as well as clarifying all the circumstances of the incident.
