Dubai Princess Dumped Her Husband via Stories and Got Engaged to a Rapper

The notorious princess of Dubai, who finalized her divorce through Instagram stories, got engaged to rapper French Montana. The daughter of the emirate's ruler, Sheikh Mohammed, Mahra first appeared in public with the artist during Paris Fashion Week: they were seen leaving the Four Seasons hotel together, holding hands.

Until recently, Sheikha Mahra's name was associated with a high-profile divorce. Her marriage was arranged with a distant relative, as is customary in the Emirates, and the wedding was only slightly less extravagant than the Ambani family celebration. Mahra had a daughter in this union, but almost immediately afterward she decided to separate from her husband - and did so in a very unusual way. The princess simply wrote on social media: "I divorce, I divorce, I divorce." According to Muslim traditions, it is sufficient to pronounce these words three times for the marriage to be considered dissolved. Riding the wave of excitement after the separation, Mahra even released a perfume with the symbolic name "Divorce".

French Montana, by the way, is also of Arab descent - the rapper is from Morocco. The story turned out to be worthy of an Eastern TV series.
