Did two Azerbaijanis die in Israel as a result of Iran's strikes?
Two men were killed as a result of an Iranian cluster missile strike on central Israel.
This is reported by BAKU.WS with reference to the Times of Israel.
Submunitions from the cluster warhead hit at least six locations across central Israel, including the cities of Yehud, Or Yehuda, Holon, and Bat Yam. The identities of the deceased were confirmed — they were Rustam Gulomov and Amid Murtuzov, both approximately 40 years old, both residents of the city of Petah Tikva.
They are believed to be Azerbaijanis.
Both men were working at a construction site in Yehud when one of the submunitions from a ballistic missile with a cluster warhead struck the area. According to the city's emergency services, the deceased did not manage to reach a bomb shelter or any other protective structure.
Medical personnel confirmed the death of one of the men at the scene, while the second was evacuated in critical condition to a hospital, where he later died from his injuries.
Home Front Command chief Major General Shai Kleper stated that dozens of other construction workers survived the strike thanks to taking timely shelter in bomb shelters.
